The Mirror – Privacy Policy

The Mirror is a WhatsApp coaching companion based on the book "The Mirror Affect" by Mark James Lubbe. We take the trust you place in us seriously, because the conversations you have here can be deeply personal. This policy explains, in plain language, what we collect, why, who can see it, and the control you have. It is written to align with South Africa's Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA).

WHAT WE COLLECT

Your WhatsApp phone number.
The messages you send to The Mirror, and the coaching replies.
A short evolving "journey summary" the system creates from your conversations, so The Mirror can remember your journey over time.
Basic status information (when your trial started, whether you subscribe).

WHY WE COLLECT IT

To provide the coaching service and reply to you.
To remember you across conversations, so it feels like one continuous journey rather than starting over each time.
To manage your trial and subscription.

WHO CAN ACCESS IT

Your conversations are private and are never sold or shared with advertisers or third parties.
They are stored securely so the service can remember you.
WhatsApp / Meta transmits and processes your messages as the messaging platform, subject to their own privacy terms.
Mark James Lubbe, as the creator, can access conversations and journey summaries to operate and improve the service, limited to what is needed to run and improve The Mirror.
We do not claim "no one can ever see your messages" — that would not be true. We prefer to tell you the truth so you can decide what to share.

HOW LONG WE KEEP IT

We keep your data for as long as you use the service, and for a reasonable period afterwards, unless you ask us to delete it sooner.

YOUR RIGHTS (POPIA)

You may ask what we hold about you.
You may ask us to correct it.
You may ask us to delete your data at any time — and we will. To request deletion, email info@moringa-life.co.za and we will remove your data and confirm.
You may stop the service at any time (reply STOP or PAUSE in chat).
